Our Programs

Afterschool programs

ProjectileX provides an array of after-school programs. With content geared towards three tiered audiences, including elementary, middle, and high school students, our materials are tailored to students in a fashion that allows them to move step by step in their learning of business and entrepreneurship.

Our elementary school programs are geared towards having our students learn about the basics of entrepreneurship. From conceptualizing topics in market research, finance, marketing, and advertising, students are able to develop strong fundamentals in business from an early age.

Our middle school programs are focused upon driving students towards developing their own prototypes. With our interdisciplinary approach, students are able to design and materialize their own venture ideas.

Our high school programs place an emphasis on generating the first few dollars of revenue. Having a successful company can be defined by its social impact, but from the fundamentals it is about being able to generate revenue. And that's exactly what we show our students how to do once they have some idea of what it's like to create a product.

Full-year Business

Course

In our belief, business and entrepreneurship are great supplements to the core curriculum offered in schools. This is why ProjectileX offers a year-long course that is bound to expand in scope in the years to come.

Pairing academia with business presents a great way for students to apply their learnings towards creating profitable and impact-driven ventures.

The full-year business course is a 1 hour/day course that runs once a day for every day of the academic year, and focuses primarily on market research, customer discovery, prototyping, and revenue generation.

Career-technical-education Entrepreneurship unit

With many states implementing Career Technical Education courses, including Principles of Marketing and Principles of Finance, it begs the question of whether or not an entrepreneurship sector of curriculum would be helpful in supplementing existing CTE curricula.

ProjectileX believes that there is great value in doing so. Having students learn the more traditional and academic tenets of business in tandem with a unit on moonshot thinking, innovation, and product creation appears to be incredibly useful in helping students gain real-world experience and hone their creativity.

summer intensive/incubator programs

For students who were either unavailable during our regular school-year afterschool programs or for those who wish to learn more about business outside of ProjectileX's basic eduational programs, a summer program is available to them.

Summer camps range from being day-camp to residency type programs, and are oftentimes 8 hours per day, lasting anywhere from 1-8 weeks depending on circumstance. At this time, students further their theoretical knowledge of business and practice their skills in design and computer science through our interdisciplinary approach, and hone their skillsets through practicing building out their own businesses or products.

An incubator environment will soon be available for students to not only receive mentorship but also have the funding necessary to start or grow their ventures.

events and conferences

In order to emphasize the essence of networking in the business world as well as remove the high price tags to high-end entrepreneurship conferences, thus making them available to students of all ages, ProjectileX runs its own events as well as collaborates with other organizations to empower the youth to think innovatively and execute efficiently.

Through initiatives such as networking events and local pitch competitions, ProjectileX engages local communities to support their own youth in moonshot thinking and innovation. With larger initiatives like day-long or weekend-long conferences, ProjectileX aims to bring a high-quality conference to students without the traditional multi-hundred-dollar price tag.

Social impact initiatives and volunteerism

To gear our students towards the notion that giving back to one's community is important, ProjectileX has a tradition of involving its students in community work and social impact initiatives that are oftentimes reserved for adults to engage with.

To combat homelessness, ProjectileX youth work together to host Apply-a-Thons to help the homeless from various shelters learn how to use Microsoft Office and then apply to jobs. Our goal is to move as many homeless individuals off the streets and into the workplace, and there seems to be no better way to do so than involving our youth.

We connect our students to local volunteering opportunities. Making sure that our students constantly stay impact-driven is important to the ProjectileX vision of developing students who are socially aware and are out to solve large societal problems.
